Message from the Chairman of the Board

As we enter into November, I realized how quickly Thanksgiving is approaching, and with that in mind I would like to begin by thanking a few people. I am very happy to announce that we have almost reached the 85% mark on our fundraising for the Chamber's new home, and I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone that have contributed to this project in any way; without your contribution this would not be possible. I would also like to thank Archie Collum and Donna Tucker for their complete dedication to the success of this project. We will be announcing the date of our groundbreaking very soon.

Another group of people I would like to thank is McKenzie Motor Company, our title sponsor for the Annual Dan McKenzie Golf Classic, our Chair Larry Strain and his incredible committee. Once again, they hosted a very successful tournament with twenty teams enjoying a great round of golf. We also had a record number of sponsors participate in this year's tournament; a big thank you goes out to all of our sponsors, volunteers and players for making this a big success!

With the holiday season quickly approaching, many people are starting to plan for all the shopping associated with the holiday season, and I would like to remind all of you of the importance of supporting our local businesses. Our local businesses make up over 85% of the businesses in Santa Rosa County. So as you are out shopping, stop by a local business for those holiday needs and gifts.

I wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving

Sincerely,

Steve Rhodes
2017 Chairman of the Board
